Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best snow blower I have ever owned! This thing is a beast! If you have a long driveway or parking area, look no further! Electric start is awesome! Plus, pull start, starts on second pull! Throws snow so far, I have to be careful not to throw it into my neighbors driveway! Touch control steering is a great feature as is the toggle control electric chute controls. Throws powder half way across the yard, and does not bog down on heave slushy snow! Only downfall, the headlight sucks! It lights the snow blower motor and chute, but halogen bulb does not light out front where the action is. I am looking to either buy the optional LED light from Troy-Bilt or mounting after market LED lights. as for snow blower for large areas, a definite great machine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice performance and features I've had this unit for three years, and it has performed very well in some tough conditions. Clearing my 1/4 mi driveway would be unthinkable without the extra wide (and high) intake, and the engine & two stage impeller is tough enough to handle even the deepest and heaviest of snow. The controls are easy to use, and the drive system is flexible enough to handle most situations. I really like the integrated light. The machine is quite heavy, so takes some muscle to maneuver in tight spaces (and in reverse when not using the reverse gear). Starting has been generally easy except once when I flooded it during a summertime test. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Artic Storm 34 two stage snow blower I just got to try out my Brand New 34" Storm Troy -Bilt this morning. We only had about an Inch of white Powder type snow. But I was able to clean the Drive Way and side walk with ease. I love the Power steering that it has. It's very easy to steer and Coperate I got the Big Snow cab and put it on it and it was only 22 degrees and I had to unzip my jacket half way down. LOL. I was sweating, the hand warmers were great boy do they warm up pretty quick. Way better than I thought that they would. You can turn this blower on a dime. The electric chute is wonderful as well. I'll say this I have had 4 other snow blowers in my time and they have all been great starters with the pull rope, but this machine is wonderful. I pull the handle until the slack was out of the rope and just gave it a tug and it fires up so fast it is amazing. .LOL.. Really the best starting one that I have ever seen. So easy That I'm still wondering how they could have made it start any faster than what was already a Great starter.. LOL.. I haven't even tried the Electric start yet. .LOL.. I can't wait to see how it blows some deep snow. I thought that the 2 speed reverse might be to fast for me because I don't walk the best, but it is all right. It might be a little slow for some. I started out in 1st gear forward and found out that the 2 speed setting was perfect for me it didn't run off on me I could keep up very easily.. Over all right now I love the thing. I'm sure it will be great in the deeper snow. I'll stop back when I do find out and tell you all how that goes. But Like I said so far I love this Puppy. A very well built snow blower and you really can't tell that it is a bigger and Heaver Blower because it just turns so nicely and all.. Troy -Bilt has done themselves Good on this model. I can easily say that.. Oh and yes I'm 62 year's old and have bad knees and back and I can use this Blower so easily I am amazed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Features make the unit a pleasure to use. This has been the best snow blower I have owned thus far. The chute control is operated via a thumb joy stick directly under your right thumb. No need to take your hands off the controls. By the way the hand grips are heated. Many a time I have forgotten my gloves and didn't even mind. The unit has power steering via finger tip control directly below the hand grips. I can turn the unit while rerouting the thrower chute and never let go of the handles. There is an adequate head light as well. The only draw back to the entire unit - I wish the second stage impellers were tipped with rubber scrappers. That way the chute would never clog. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great five years later I bought our snow blower about 5 years ago. Our former snow blower was about 10 years old so it was time to replace it. No issues with our Troy machine. It has stood up very well. We keep properly maintained so it still looks good and operates great. The only knock is that when we brought it home, some of the bolts were not properly tightened. It didn't show right away and was a hassle when we first used it. But I'm handy and identified the problem and tightened the bolts. Hopefully, this one lasts as long as our previous machine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BIG MACHINE, little bite! The add on cab is useless in the dark. The single headlight is a joke and reflects back at you in the dark. The add on LED headlight is a waste of money. The only thing this machine can do is blow snow.. In heavy (18" to 24" deep) in #1 speed it can't feed the impeller/auger fast enough. It leaves a trail of snow behind, which doubles your work. In dense snow (packed) it rides up over the snow. I have to stop and chop up the snow and it still wants to ride over the dense snow. CHAINS? I was told my Troy-Bilt tech not to put chains on this machine which tells you how poorly built the drive system is. The only excellent rating I gave was for the engine starting with one pull. If you match an Ar**** snow blower with similar features, IT WEIGHS ABOUT A 100 lbs. more, cab is different material, headlight is much brighter, and you CAN put chains on it (won't sit and spin tires in heavy snow). WHAT A JOKE THIS MACHINE IS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why Did I Wait? I bought this in November of 2015 at the age of 68, deciding that shoveling snow was getting too risky. Halfway through January I wondered why I bothered as it hadn't snowed but a few flakes. Then, for next six weeks, we endured one of the more memorable spates of winter ever. Seemed like I was clearing my driveway and walkways (and those of an elderly neighbor) every other day! The machine worked perfectly right out of the box (and off the pallet) and all I've had to do since was change the oil. A yer later, my slightly younger brother insisted he (and his wife) were still up to shoveling. I'd like to have them stick around so I bought a 30" model for them! Same experience, quality and power right from the (instant and easy) start. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
