Rated 5 out of 5 by DonW from Excellent Tiller I have had my ProLine CRT for 12 years. One thing I'd say like what I've read is make sure your ground requires CRT. It will cause unnecessary work if you have easy to work soil. Even then tho you can still run it 1 handed you just have to remove the plant matter that piles up. With that said it's the BEST tiller I've ever owned. About 4 yrs. ago I had to replace the engine and I've had to some minor repairs but 12 yrs. come on parts wear out. I have never had any trouble with the drive or the tines besides sharpening them...... Buy One Just Get The Right 1 For Your Needs. You can run it for life if you keep the oils changed regular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by scott from great tiller Last summer i borrowed a troy bilt tiller from a farmer that was forward rotating tines. It was a nice tiller but trying to go threw clay and sod it bounced all over and got little done in 2 weeks besides make me sore. I bought this CRT tiller today and had the whole yard done in about two hours. I couldn't believe it. Engine never even bogged down when hitting hard things. I only had to use one hand most of the time. It is a great tiller and i'm glad i made the investment, hopefully it will provide many more years of great service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by McWorker from Simply a dirt beast! So, I live in South Texas, specifically on the edge of the Hill Country. Generally, you dig down 6 - 8 inches and you start hitting rock. In my garden area I've built up probably 12 - 16 inches of soil, but there are still some rocks in it. My Pro-Line Tiller has been the greatest tool for loosening up the soil and getting the rock out that I could have every purchased. I gently lower the tiller through the soil with the depth adjustment, and every time I encounter a rock I lift up a little to make sure I don't eat up the belt (Like I did when I first purchased the unit). This beast doesn't stop as long as you know what you are doing and don't abuse it. Great product Troy-Bilt!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Brant from Make sure this is what you need! My 35 years experience with tillers is; Troy Built machines are excellent (that's why the 5 star ratings). I have used 99% front rotating tines, and 1% (my current one) counter rotating. I will probably sell this one & go back to FRT. I found that in new sod ground or in tilling in last years mulch, the counter rotating tine tends to create a mound of soil between tines & drive wheels lifting the tiller upward to a stop every 5 feet (thus the 1 star ratings). Please talk to the Troy Built people before you buy one of these. If you are an experienced garderner you will want FRT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nevada Joe from Honda engine big plus This is the second Troy-Bilt tiller, the first having a Brigg&Stratton engine. My second and latest Troy-Bilt comes with a Honda engine. What a difference. Starts one pull every time. Much better engine and easy starts. When the cord is pulled the exhaust valve is opened a bit making it some much easier to start. No comparison. Counter rotating tines (CRT) is the only way to go for tough jobs, cuts through even tall fescue like it's not even there. Try that with a shovel some time and you'll appreciate this tiller. Great for making berms as well. Very well built tiller and comes with a reverse gear as well. Thumbs up all the way, this is the tiller to have for tough jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bob C from Best I've ever had!!!!!!! When I saw the price I kinda thought "yikes", but you get what you pay for!!!! The BIGGEST benefit for me, at my Senior age, is the EASE of operation!!! Both forward and back are powered!!! Then there's the Honda engine, which we ALL know will generally out-live its owner!!!!! The first couple years I only ran it in the Spring, and even though it sat up in the meantime, it fired RIGHT up!!!!!! The Counter-Rotation pulls the tines into the dirt so you don't have to press down!!!!! I don't think there's a better tiller ANYWHERE!!!!! And by the way, I live in pure CLAY!!!!! 5 STARS!!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jedd from CRT Pro Honda powered I have had the CRT Pro for 2 full seasons and it has worked out well.It takes some getting use to CRT rather then FRT.But for my hard heavy black dirt that crusts and turns to concrete you can not beat it.You do not get the bucking like you do with a FRT and can achieve full depth in less passes. However if you have lighter sandy soil then CRT is not the tiller for you.The only thing I wish it did have was both CRT and FRT for the final pass and to level the loose soil FRT would be better.I do like the Honda engine and that is what sold me of this model.Very smooth and quite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grandma from Great Tiller I just bought the Pro Line CRT and am so happy with it. I did have a Pony but it was just to much machine for me and my garden size. Pro Line is the perfect 60 year old woman tiller. Easy to start, turns on a dime, smooth tilling and dosen't beat me up. Pony is a good tiller also but just wanted something a little smaller. The Honda motor is also very quiet. I would recommend this tiller for any lady gardener.
