One serious problem spoils a great machine.
I bought this lawn mower for its ease in starting, multi functions, good design and Honda engine. It mostly met my expectations. It is too early in the season to test the functions, but it is easy to start. And I expect the various functions will work as advertised.
The one problem I have is with the Honda engine. I did not turn off the fuel and the carb flooded leaking gas all over my shed. The needle in the float bowl is supposed to stop the gas from flowing. It did not. I also noticed that the air filter has some material (glue?) designed to keep the pleats in place. It came apart leaving debris in the carburetor intake.
If it weren't for the carburetor problems, I would give this mower an excellent rating.

Excellent Value
I bought this mower about 5 years ago as the weeds which I call my lawn at my rural home were getting ridiculous. I used this mower to plow through prairie grass and weeds more than 2ft high in some places. This machine ate it all. Advertises max 3 pulls and it lives up to it. The only time I've pulled more than three is the first time using that year and I had to pull a 4th time. It's done this the last 3 years consistently. 1-2 is normal, 4 times if left for a long time. Only complaint is thick grass tends to knock the open chute attachment off on the right side as it's just the spring loaded hatch that holds it in place. This machine has pushed through some major weeds year after year. Very happy with the purchase.

Design Flaws???
I bought this mower last summer based on the reviews and the fact it had a Honda engine. I am very happy with the Honda engine! always starts one pull!. One issue that I seem to have and maybe it is minor to most people but not to me, is that when I'm cutting the grass there is always a trail of clippings on the left wheels. Not sure why. But I usual have to go back and "vacuum" them up. It doesn't seem to matter which way I cut my grass there is always a trail after a pass. Its not because the bag is full either because it happens when the bag is near empty as well. Again maybe minor to some but it increases the time it takes to mow my lawn and I bought this mower to decrease time. I try to follow the rule of only cutting 1/3 of the blade length of grass but it doesn't seem to matter. I have also noticed the the gras doesn't seem to go to the back of the bag either. I will have to stop and shake the clippings down to the back of the bag as well. If there is anyone that could provide some advice on how to prevent this I would be grateful, or tell me if I am doing something wrong?? Thanks in advance.

Very poor for leaves.
Do no buy this mower if you want to pick up leaves. It blows them out the front and scatters them around. The 25 yr old craftsman I replaced with this is 10X better. Even swapped blades to no available. Very Disappointed I wasted money on this.

Not Happy With The Mower
We bought the lawnmower in March after friends recommended it, we cut the lawn hit a branch and now the lawnmower has something wrong with the crank shaft and we went back to where it was purchased, just not much help. Just a trying experience, it cut the lawn once and has been broken since, not an issue we have ever faced before.

Starts first time, all the time
I have had this mower for 2 years and it works great. The height adjuster just broke for the rear wheels and now only sits in the lowest position (which is way to low). Hoping that customer service takes care of this quickly as the grass is growing to quickly with all this rain!! 5 Stars if it gets fixed quickly.

works well and starts easily every time
I bought this mower 3 years ago and now 2 years in a row the rear adjuster handle broke again an have to order another rear adjuster/axel assy.new part is not improved .
If it wasn't for that it would be a really good mower.
I am surely not the only person to have this problem...
