Avis

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great tiller short handle bars Tiller runs great and will get the job done in no time. The only thing I have a problem with is the handle bars. If you are over 5'8" tall you will have to bend over the wholr time you are useing it. The bars are at the right hieght when the tiller is just seting, but as soon as it digs in 7"+ in the ground you will have bend over. I have them set at the highest seting but they are still 12" to short but than again I am 6'5" tall. It would be a perfect tiller if it had more than 2 setting. Right now it is just a back braker if I use it more than 15 min without stopping to give my back a break. Other than that it is great!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Big Red I have had an electric start big red tiller since 2002 and would recommend one to anyone looking for a tiller. I use it regularly to till/weed between the rows in my 2 acre garden without problems and in high gear it really moves through the rows. It will try to tip over if tilling across a slight incline, especially when tilling deep, but the wheel weights loaded with cement corrected that problem. My one complaint/wish is for the tiller to have the option to move the wheels further out on the axle so it would have greater stability when needed and then switch back to the narrow width to till between rows.

Rated 5 de 5 de par BIG RED IS THE TOP DOG ! I RECEIVED A TROY-BILT BIG RED TILLER AS A WEDDING PRESENT FROM MY WIFE BACK IN 1998. IT HAS BEEN GOING STRONG EVER SINCE, WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS OF ANY KIND FROM THE VERY FIRST TIME I USED IT. MY GARDEN IS A BIT OVER AN ACRE IN SIZE, AND MY TROY-BILT GETS THE JOB DONE, YEAR AFTER YEAR. RIGHT AFTER I GOT IT, I ADDED WHEEL WEIGHTS AND TIRE CHAINS, WHICH DID HELP IT'S PERFORMANCE A BIT ( I LIVE IN CENTRAL VIRGINIA, WHICH HAS A LOT OF CLAY IN THE SOIL ). I'M EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH IT, AND HAVE RECOMMENDED IT TO EVERYONE WHO WOULD LISTEN TO ME RAVE ABOUT IT. I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW I WOULD GET ALONG WITHOUT IT. IN MY OPINION, IT IS THE "TOP DOG" OF ALL TILLERS, BAR NONE !

Rated 5 de 5 de par Why I Love Troy-Bilt The first Troy-Bilt tiller we bought was in the pony series. It was a hand start and a challenge but we were young and game. We loved working with it and never regretted the purchase. The last one so far has been the big red electric start and we are just as impressed. When we bought it we were working with heavy clay soil. We used it to work vast quantities of leaves and other organic matter into the soil to make it workable for gardening. We were very pleased with the wonderful vegetables and flowers we were able to produce from our amended soil. We will always want a Troy-Bilt!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Ask Me About My Garden and my Troy-Bilt tillers. I live to raise my garden; gave away 20 bushels of tomatoes and vegetables to neighbors and the poor. I raise chickens in the city for fertilizer, and to give the soil nitrogen to break compost down & compost the neighbors leaves. I own 3 different sizes: Big Red 20", Pony 16", and a Junior 14" all Troy-Bilt tillers this allows me to plant closer together and a 10" front tine cultivator. They all help keep weeds out. The Big Red and Pony eat green corn stalks, Big Red really does it fast, Pony takes 2-3 more passes.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Good Old Reliable Horse Greatest tiller ever made, bar none. 25 years old and the Briggs 8hp still starts on first pull. Have used the tiller to help neighbors and friends with their gardens for years. One can literally till their yard with this unit using one finger - only to hold on the engine safety switch. Normal wear items are the tines and the tine shaft seals - as they take a lot of abuse. Have replaced these a couple of times already; other than these, no issues whatsoever. Highly recommended unit.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I bought my first in 1993 and it is still running today. I have used it every year with no major work done on it. I used it on a half acre in North Carolina till 2007 when I moved out to California and use it on one acre of 8 acres in the mountains. Next year I may try a little more. It has never let me down yet. I not sure who will wear out first, me or the tiller as it keeps on running. . Just keep everything adjusted and oiled and watch the air in the tires and they run great. I am looking to get one for my son now.
